Kelly--took my brand new, beautiful blue LogicalOne to the course for the first time yesterday and really played well with it. I hit a nice 30 foot putt for birdie and also had about a 50 foot birdie putting from the fairway about 10 yards from the green. Anything 6 feet and in was almost a gimmee I have only been playing since April and shot my best 9 yesterday, a 51. I really think this putter is going to help me reach my goal of breaking 100 this year.

Got to play a couple of rounds through out the week... first 2 rounds the putter felt ok, not more... BUT after the 2nd round, where I left everything short.. I'm now into the sub 30 putts per average on 18.
Yesterday scored a 75 - tied best ever.. with 28 putts. I don't credit the putting for everything, but it's a critical piece to the puzzle! I was thinking of putting another putter in the bag for next round, but will not after some thought - the LogicalOne gives me so much confidence at the moment!

WOW!!
I got a chance to play this morning with the new putter. I shot 65 simply because I was able to make a few 10 footers for a change and all of my 5 ft and in putts! Putting has always been something thats held me from staying consistent. I'm a good ball striker and not a bad putter, but I never made anything outside of 6ft.
The LogicalOne really does help me line the ball up a lot better than my old Anser 4!

Not only did this replace my Scotty Cameron in my bag, it has also become a very good training aid I use with my students. Extremely good feel and balance and the alignment is excellent. Thank you!!

Optics / Alignment:
This is where the LogicalOne really shines & the most obvious part of the clubheads design. I draw an alignment mark on my golf ball - when you address the ball it is so easy to see that you are lined up. The lines on the top of the putter make it so obvious / intuitive.

I use a Check-Go to put the alignment mark on my ball, this way I can tell when I put a good roll on the ball because I can see the alignment mark. If you don't square the face of the putter at impact - you can see the alignment mark 'scramble' when the ball rolls. I can say, I hit a very high percentage of putts that roll true with this putter.

Feel:
The putter has a heavier feel and the milled face gives it a solid / soft feel at impact. For those who have used the MacGregor line of mallets - I think this putter has a similar feel, except more solid. The one comment I keep making is related to how well balanced the putter feels - I immediately felt very confident from the moment I picked it up.

Distance Control:
In my past experience, when I try a new putter ( especially mallets or putters with face inserts ), distance control is the one area with putters that tends to take some practice time to get right. Typically when I try a new putter, I can feel confident on short putts pretty quickly - anything over 20 feet is what takes a little time to get used to.
For whatever reason with the LogicalOne my distance control on longer putts has been excellent right from the first time I took it on the course.

Forgiveness:
I spent a little time on the practice green purposely hitting putts off center to see what kind of roll I would get, I was very impressed. I could hit the ball a full inch off the center of the clubface and I was still getting a very good roll on the ball.

I expect a mallet putter to be forgiving & high-MOI, but I would say this putter is more forgiving than the 2-ball & the Mac M5K I've owned when it comes to off-center hits.

Bottom Line:
This is a great putter - its a quality product, a good cause and Kelly is a great person to deal with. If you've been looking for a center-shafted mallet putter you really should give this one a try.

The Logical One is a first class putting operation. It looks less extraterrestrial in person, though it has a very high tech look in it's design-obviously.

To say it is well made would be an understatement. I chose the black finish-more comfortable to my eye. The finish, milling, sight lines, shaft insertion are flawless. This is assembled with great care. Yes, a putter can be sloppily made. This one is at the opposite side of the spectrum. It's a thing of beauty even of you may not care for the shape. The grip is aligned dead straight. Mine has a black paddle grip and it's half cord-meaning the grip is cord on the top 50% and non-cord but wonderfully textured on the right-hand portion of the grip. This is one of the most well thought out club designs I have ever seen in a putter by any company.

The Logical One logo is silk-screened on the shaft as well, very classy, but facing down when you hold the putter. The shaft is a triple bend installed so the face is perfectly balanced...I put my level on it and it is BALANCED. There are pro and cons on face balancing putters. It may or may not make a difference to an individual. This is intended to be and is.

Distance control with the Logical One is very cool in my hands.

Have you ever "stubbed" your putter on the backstroke? My best golf bud does and I do as well on occasion...not with this guy! No way, no how. It has a nice relief angle on the sole. As many times as I putt from the fringe when my flawless M-45s slightly misfire (note I blame the iron and not myself), this is made for those "almost hit the green" putts.

Setup: You set the putter behind the ball, grip, release and the putter stays aligned...it does not waver a micron. Its inability to swing itself is the only design flaw I've spotted ;-)

Alignment was, obviously, the #1 priority in the design. It works.

A word about "feel"... I have a Palmer blade putter, two carbon steel Blue Goose putters and if there is any difference in feel betwen them and the Logical One, it is that the Logical One feels softer than the carbon steel putters. having just done THAT test, I thought I'd make a note of it.

For those looking for a "better" putter, this qualifies. Well made modern designs work...

Dear Kelly,

It's been almost one month that I have one of your LogicalOne Putters in my bag. I managed to play several rounds on two independent courses with this beauty. By the way, many thanks again for your kindness and for delivering those to us. You are a class of your own.

The putter is extraordinary, and I mean it. Alignment is so easy and accurate for a human eye that the only one thing a golfer needs to do is to put 100% of trust to the lines on the head. The idea of putting lines which are of hole-width is excellent ! It's very easy now to visualize a 'channel' which leads the ball to the hole. Another very important thing is the size of the head. It's large enough to help golfers in decent lag putting. I am an advocate of the theory that too small a head can cause problems in longer putts because it simply 'disappears' on large greens. The feel of the head striking the ball is also very good even without e.g. soft insert. From aesthetic point of view your putters appears very attractive to me - very modern and clean look, very original and beautiful colours.
